Getting started

1

Start with your server

New to NightCrew? Follow Getting Started to invite the bot, choose your server, and check its Discord permissions. Then set up one module at a time.

2

Find the guide you need

Choose a guide from the menu or search for a feature, setting, or command. Each module has setup instructions, a settings reference, and answers to common problems.

3

Turn modules on or off

All modules appear in the dashboard sidebar. Administrators can open a module and use the switch at the top of its page. Switching it off keeps its settings and history. On Free servers, a crown marks features that need Premium.

4

Check before you save

Make sure the server selector shows the right community. Most settings save automatically; wait for Saved before leaving. Sending a message, publishing a panel, or taking a moderation action still needs a separate click.

5

Get help while you work

Help sits with Search in the dashboard sidebar. Use it to open the guide for your current page or check server readiness. A successful health check is useful, but you should still test the feature in Discord.

Settings reference

Use this reference when you need to check what a setting does.

Server selector

Determines which Discord server every visible setting and action belongs to.

Module status

Shows whether a system is active, incomplete, missing permissions, or offline.

Autosave state

Unsaved changes turns into Saving, then Saved after the server accepts the update.

How it works

Here’s what happens once you’ve finished setup.

  1. 1
    Administrator

Chooses a server and enables only the modules the community needs.

  2. 2
    Configuration

Sets channels, roles, rules, panels, and integrations.

  3. 3
    Staff

Uses granted dashboard sections and Discord commands without receiving subscription settings.

Example

EXAMPLE
Recommended rollout

Configure one module in a private test channel, test it with a non-admin account, train staff, and only then publish it to the full server.

Tips

i

A preview shows how a message will look. It does not send anything to Discord.

i

Server settings and subscriptions are separate for each community you manage.

Troubleshooting

A setting changed on the wrong server

Use the server selector, return to the correct server, and update that server's configuration. Settings never automatically copy between servers.
