Platform
Live Chat Support
Contact NightCrew support from any dashboard page through the built-in NightCrew chat.
Getting started
Open chat
Select the floating Chat Support button in the lower-right corner of any dashboard page.
Start a new chat
Every dashboard visit starts with an empty chat. Describe the page or command, what you expected, and what happened. Sending opens a new private support thread.
View previous chats
Use the Back arrow to see your private conversation history for this server. Choose an open conversation to continue it. Resolved chats are read-only; start a new chat for more help.
Optional AI and diagnostics
When configured, AI help uses public NightCrew docs through the configured provider only after opting in. Talk to staff disables AI. A server administrator can share module on/off states for one hour and revoke the report; this never grants server controls.
Return later
Sign in with the same Discord account and select the same server to read replies. The widget displays the latest 100 messages.
Settings reference
Use this reference when you need to check what a setting does.
NightCrew support button in the lower-right of every signed-in dashboard page.
Discord identity and selected server ID supplied automatically. Include the affected page in your message.
Operators reply from the Discord mobile or desktop app using the configured staff role. Text replies sync to the dashboard; attachments are not synced. Use !resolve to mark a conversation resolved and read-only. Customers start a new chat for further help.
How it works
Here’s what happens once you’ve finished setup.
- 1Dashboard user
Opens Chat Support and describes the issue.
- 2NightCrew
Saves the message and queues it for the private Discord support inbox.
- 3Support operator
Replies in the matching Discord thread; replies persist when the user leaves the dashboard.
Example
On Advanced Logging for My Server, Message Delete logs remain empty after a test at 8:15 PM UTC. The bot can view #server-logs and other log groups work.
Tips
Your Discord username and selected server ID are attached automatically.
Never send bot tokens, API keys, webhook secrets, passwords, or private member data in chat.
Things to know
Never share bot tokens, API keys, webhook signing secrets, passwords, payment details, or private member data in support chat.
Troubleshooting
Sign in and select a server. Check SUPPORT_CHAT_CHANNEL_ID is configured.
Select the affected server before opening chat, then refresh the dashboard.
Check back with the same account and server. Queued means the bot has not forwarded it yet; Not delivered offers an explicit retry. Operators must check the bot is online, the inbox denies View Channel to @everyone, the staff role exists, and the bot can view/send messages and create/send in public threads within that private channel.
