Getting started

1

Choose filters

Enable spam, duplicate, invite, link, blocked-word, mention, caps, or emoji protection.

2

Set thresholds

Choose message windows, mention limits, caps percentage, and emoji limits.

3

Set exceptions

Choose immune roles and ignored channels for staff, bots, or media areas.

4

Choose punishment

Use warn, timeout, kick, or ban and choose deletion, reports, alert channel, and member DMs.

5

Review cases

Use case history to see moderator, member, reason, action, duration, and expiration.

Settings reference

Use this reference when you need to check what a setting does.

Spam limit/window

How many messages within how many seconds triggers spam.

Duplicate limit

Repeated identical messages allowed before action.

Mention limit

Combined user and role mentions allowed in one message.

Allowed domains

Domains permitted when link blocking is active.

Blocked words

Case-insensitive terms removed by the word filter.

Immune roles

Roles exempt from automod; administrators and message managers are also exempt.

Ignored channels

Channels where automated filters do not run.

Punishment

Warn, timeout, kick, or ban after a violation.

Alert channel

Private channel receiving the rule, member, action, and message evidence.

How it works

Here’s what happens once you’ve finished setup.

  1. 1
    Message

    Passes through enabled filters.

  2. 2
    Rule

    Returns the first matching violation.

  3. 3
    NightCrew

Deletes if configured, applies the punishment, records the case, optionally DMs, and alerts staff.

Example

EXAMPLE
Balanced protection

6 messages in 8 seconds, 5 mentions, invites blocked, links allowed only from trusted domains, warn first, and 10-minute timeout for repeated spam.

Things to know

!

Automod Pro adds specialized layered rules; basic Moderation remains the case and punishment system.

Troubleshooting

Staff messages are deleted

Add the staff role to Immune roles or grant Manage Messages.

Links are all blocked

Add domain names without paths, such as youtube.com, to Allowed domains.

Timeout fails

NightCrew needs Moderate Members and must sit above the member's top role.
