Staff Access
Give trusted team members limited dashboard access without making them full Discord administrators.
Getting started
Create an access role
Open Staff Access, name the role after a responsibility such as Support Manager, and avoid copying Discord role names unless they serve the same purpose.
Choose sections
Grant only the tickets, applications, community, server-management, insights, or platform pages that role needs.
Choose access level
View permits safe GET pages, Edit permits ordinary changes, and Manage includes the section's administrative actions.
Assign members
Open the access role and add a Discord user ID belonging to the selected server.
Test least privilege
Ask the staff member to sign in, select the server, and confirm allowed pages open while unassigned pages return Access denied.
Review changes
Use Dashboard Logs to audit staff actions and remove a member or delete the access role immediately when access is no longer needed.
Settings reference
Use this reference when you need to check what a setting does.
Dashboard-only collection of page permissions.
Opens safe read pages for that section.
Allows ordinary configuration changes.
Includes section-level administrative actions.
Discord user ID linked to one access role on one server.
Staff Access, core Settings, and Dashboard Logs remain administrator-only.
How it works
Here’s what happens once you’ve finished setup.
- 1Administrator
Creates a least-privilege dashboard role.
- 2Assignment
Links a server member's Discord ID.
- 3Staff member
Signs in with Discord and receives only granted sections for the selected server.
- 4Audit
Dashboard changes are written to Dashboard Logs.
Example
Grant Tickets, Categories, and Ticket Panels with Manage access; do not grant unrelated server-management pages.
Permissions
- Full server administrator access is required to manage Staff Access
Tips
Dashboard roles do not grant Discord permissions and never replace Discord channel or role permission checks.
Things to know
Grant the smallest access needed and review assignments regularly. Dashboard roles do not change Discord permissions.
Troubleshooting
Confirm the exact Discord user ID, active server, and at least one View, Edit, or Manage grant.
View alone does not authorize changes; grant Edit or Manage for that section.
Remove the member assignment; deleting the whole role removes access from everyone assigned to it.
