Settings & Modules

Manage your bot identity, download configuration backups, and view your server’s plan.

Updated October 21, 20262 min read

Getting started

1

Confirm the overview

Check the server name, current plan, and bot connection at the top of Settings.

2

Manage modules

Open each module from the sidebar and change its switch at the top. Changes save automatically without deleting settings, panels, items, or history.

3

Manage identity

Custom Bot servers can connect a dedicated Discord application and preview its name, avatar, banner, status, and activity.

4

Protect the setup

Download a secret-free configuration backup and use Server Health Center before major launches or deployments.

5

Review module changes

Module switch history shows who turned modules on or off. You can restore an earlier selection, subject to your current plan. If someone else changes the selection while you are editing, reload before trying again.

6

Recover a failed save

If a save fails, keep the page open and choose Retry save. If your session has expired or you switched servers in another tab, reload and sign in again before editing.

7

Review the plan

Plans & Billing shows Free, Premium, Custom Bot, and eligible lifetime access for only the selected server.

Settings reference

Use this reference when you need to check what a setting does.

Overview

Selected server plan, bot runtime, enabled coverage, plan availability, and configuration-safety status.

Bot Identity

Custom Bot-only controls for name, avatar, banner, and Discord presence.

Module switches

Open a module from the sidebar and use the switch at the top. Changes save automatically for the selected server; settings and history are retained.

Secret-free JSON containing module choices and supported panel designs.

Plans & Billing

Displays the selected server's entitlement and subscription actions.

How it works

Here’s what happens once you’ve finished setup.

  1. 1
    Dashboard

Loads the selected server and its resolved entitlement.

  2. 2
    Administrator

Opens a module and changes its on/off switch.

  3. 3
    Autosave

Saves only the selected module and confirms persistence.

  4. 4
    Runtime

Commands and events consult the stored per-server module state.

Example

EXAMPLE
Small community

Enable the modules you need from their dedicated pages, run Server Health Center, and download a backup before expanding into Premium automation.

Tips

i

Subscriptions are per Discord server.

i

Use Plans & Billing to transfer an eligible subscription.

Troubleshooting

Module is visible but cannot be edited

It is plan-locked. Open the upgrade card or Plans & Billing.

A disabled module still shows old data

Expected behavior: NightCrew preserves configuration and history for later reactivation.

Autosave reports an error

Keep the page open, confirm the bot host and database are online, then change the switch again.
