Using the dashboard

Navigate NightCrew, understand autosave, and manage the right server with confidence.

Getting started

1

Review the Command Center

The dashboard's Server Command Center shows unassigned tickets, pending non-archived applications, failed social deliveries, and setup or health checks for active modules. Counts are a page-load snapshot; Refresh updates them. No recent heartbeat means the bot connection needs checking, not proof that it is offline.

2

Search your workspace

Open Search or press Ctrl/Cmd K. Enter at least two characters to find dashboard pages, setting references, guides, or ticket/application IDs and member names. Private results require the relevant section's view or manage access and an enabled module. Search never indexes message bodies, application answers, or staff notes.

3

Choose the community

Check the server selector before editing. If servers are missing, sign out and use the Discord account that manages them. Dashboard settings apply to the selected server.

4

Find your module

Search modules in the sidebar, use favorites for frequent pages, or open Modules. Green status dots indicate enabled modules; red indicates disabled modules. The sidebar remembers its scroll position and compact state.

5

Configure and verify

Ordinary settings autosave. Wait for Saved; use Retry save after an error. Opening a preview, changing a draft, or enabling a module does not publish a Discord panel.

6

Use explicit actions

Create, publish, send, delete, accept, deny, and moderation actions use their own buttons. Check the server and destination before clicking.

7

Find advanced controls

Settings appear first. Open Advanced settings, history, and supporting tools only when needed. Message-design dialogs keep the original settings together; close them to return to the module.

8

Adjust the experience

Collapse the sidebar for more space. Your browser's reduced-motion preference makes the animated backdrop static. Help in the sidebar opens the current module's guide.

Settings reference

Use this reference when you need to check what a setting does.

Module switch

Enables or pauses the selected module without clearing its saved configuration.

Autosave status

Saving, Saved, or an error with Retry save. An action button remains separate from ordinary settings.

Sidebar

Search, favorites, module status dots, and a compact layout.

Server selector

Changes the community whose data and settings you are managing.

Emoji picker

Search Unicode and server emojis, choose a skin tone, or reuse recent selections. Hover or focus an emoji to preview it; use arrow keys in the grid and Escape to close. Show more loads additional results. Selection updates the original field; publishing remains a separate action.

How it works

Here’s what happens once you’ve finished setup.

  1. 1
    Select

Choose a server you can manage.

  2. 2
    Configure

Change a setting and wait for its save result.

  3. 3
    Publish

Use the explicit action to deliver a panel or message.

  4. 4
    Verify

Check the real Discord channel and relevant history.

Example

EXAMPLE
Launch one module

Configure a test ticket panel, wait for saved settings, publish explicitly to a private channel, and open a ticket from a test member.

Tips

i

Unknown or empty statistics are not evidence of zero activity; check connectivity and the selected period.

i

If another tab changed the active server, reload before saving.

Troubleshooting

A save fails

Keep the page open and retry. If the session expired or the active server changed in another tab, reload before editing.

The sidebar shows the wrong servers

Sign out and use the intended Discord account.

Animation is distracting

Enable reduced motion in your operating system or browser.
