Send customized join, leave, boost, and role-triggered embeds.

Updated October 21, 20261 min read

Getting started

1

Create a message

Choose join, leave, boost, or role trigger plus channel, DM, or combined delivery.

2

Design the message

Choose text, embed, image, or GIF presentation; set author, title, content, colors, media, footer, timestamp, buttons, and optional ping.

3

Choose when messages are sent

Configure delay, automatic deletion, bot exclusion, minimum account age, weighted message rotation, and multi-message strategy.

4

Use variables

Insert supported member, server, count, mention, and role variables shown beside the editor.

5

Add onboarding

Configure the optional join role and keep NightCrew above it in Discord's role hierarchy.

6

Preview and test

Use the live Discord preview and safe test delivery, then monitor sent, failed, and last-error health.

Settings reference

Use this reference when you need to check what a setting does.

Event type

Join, leave, boost, or role-triggered message.

Channel

Discord destination for this individual message.

Title/message

Embed text supporting the displayed variables.

Color

Embed accent in hexadecimal.

Image/thumbnail

HTTPS artwork displayed large or small.

Ping member

Places a real mention outside the embed on join.

Trigger role

Role whose addition activates a role message.

How it works

Here’s what happens once you’ve finished setup.

  1. 1
    Event

Discord tells NightCrew a member joined, left, boosted, or received a role.

  2. 2
    Matching messages

All active messages for that event are loaded.

  3. 3
    Variables

NightCrew substitutes current server/member values and posts each embed.

Example

EXAMPLE
New-member welcome

Title `Welcome to {server}!`, message `{user} is member #{membercount}. Read #rules and choose your roles.`, green accent, server banner, and ping enabled.

Troubleshooting

Preview works but join does not

Confirm the message is enabled and the bot has Server Members intent.

Image does not appear

Use a direct public HTTPS image URL, not a webpage link.

Variable displays literally

Use an exact supported token including braces.
